The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has announced that it has exceeded the mid-year revenue target set for the 2024 fiscal year.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors, Joe Ghartey, in a statement congratulated the Commissioner-General, Top Management and staff on their outstanding performance, in exceeding the 2024 mid-year revenue target.
Describing the achievement as a "historic performance", the Chairman of the Board of Directors noted that it was achieved against a background of strong headwinds, including the seasonal challenges in achieving revenue targets in election years.
"The Board strongly believes in the ability and the determination of Management and staff of GRA to work against all these odds and will continue to support them to achieve their targets," the statement added.
According to the statement, "the Commissioner-General, will be sharing more insights on these achievements next week at a media briefing and the Board calls on all valued stakeholders such as taxpayers, and the business community to provide GRA with the needed support to improve on revenue mobilisation."
