This evening, July 16, 2024, the Institute of Public Relations (IPR) Ghana will launch its 50th-anniversary celebration at the Accra City Hotel (formerly Novotel) at 6:30 pm.
The event coincides with World PR Day and marks the start of the Annual IPR Ghana Week.
The celebration will feature several distinguished guests.
The Minister of Information, Fatimah Abubakar, will attend as the Special Guest, while the Chairman of the National Peace Council will be a Guest Speaker.

John Awuah, the Chief Executive of the Ghana Association of Banks, is set to deliver the keynote address.
IPR President Esther A. N. Cobbah will discuss the Essence and Ethics of Public Relations.
The event will bring together members of the Institute of Public Relations, government officials, private sector personalities, and civil society organizations, among other stakeholders.
The 50th Anniversary is themed "PR for Value Creation," stating ethical communication for peace, particularly in an election year.

The launch of the anniversary sets the stage for a series of activities aimed at highlighting the value of Public Relations to individuals, organizations, communities, and countries.
These activities include a community engagement on environmental conservation, a "Student’s Time" event on Thursday, and an evening of knowledge enhancement through humour for IPR Ghana members.
These events are part of the Annual IPR Ghana Week, with additional anniversary activities to follow.
President of IPR Ghana, Esther A. N. Cobbah, expressed her enthusiasm for the milestone celebration. “Members of IPR are really delighted to be celebrating 50 years of our Institute.
"For us, this is a good opportunity to further strengthen our Institute, deepen professional bonds, and make even more impact nationally, continentally, and globally. Join our celebration,” she said.
