Seasoned procurement and supply chain expert, executive leader and strategic advisor, Ms. Celestine Djane, has been inducted as a fellow of the Ghana Institute of Procurement and Supply (GIPS)—the umbrella body of procurement and supply chain professionals and practitioners in Ghana.
This achievement is a testament to her impeccable journey as a practicing procurement and supply chain professional; a remarkable period that has seen her consulting to several local and multinational corporations.
It also recognizes her selfless dedication and contributions to the noble course of building the next generation of ethically trained professionals to lead the practice of procurement and supply chain functions in Ghana.
In her capacity as the executive secretary of GIPS—and a member of the Executive Committee—Ms. Djane has been leading the coordination of all activities and initiatives of the institute.
As a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (MCIPS) and newly-inducted Fellow of GIPS, she has established herself as a thought leader and a driving force in promoting best practices, ethical standards, and professional development in the procurement and supply chain sector in Ghana.
Celestine is passionate about harnessing the power of procurement to drive national economic development, sustainability, and the attainment of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
She is very committed to promoting sustainable procurement practices that foster economic growth, social inclusivity, and environmental stewardship; and with a vision to rebuild a new Africa through sustainable procurement.
Celestine holds an MSc in Supply Chain Management, BSc in Business Administration, MCIPS from CIPS, UK, MGIPS from GIPS, and an LLB in Law. She has also completed several executive leadership and strategic management certifications from reputable institutions.
Through her work, Celestine aims to demonstrate the transformative potential of procurement in achieving national economic development, sustainability, and the SDGs. Her passion and commitment to sustainable procurement practices make her a leader and change agent in the procurement and supply chain sector in Africa.
