In a bid to provide clean and safe drinking water, Emmanuel Global Grace Foundation has commissioned a mechanical borehole at Suhum Aponoapono No.1, a town in Ghana’s Eastern Region.
The initiative comes as a major relief to the community, which has long struggled with a lack of access to potable water.

For years, residents of Suhum Aponoapono No.1 had no reliable source of clean drinking water, forcing them to rely on unsafe alternatives.
The borehole, which marks the first healthy source of water for the town, is expected to have a transformative impact on the community's health and well-being.
Interacting with the media, an executive member of the Foundation, Pastor Samuel Boateng, emphasised the importance of water in human life.

“When a human being has water, he or she has everything,” he noted.
Pastor Boateng revealed that the organisation had scouted several regions across the country, including the northern parts of Ghana, before selecting Suhum Aponoapono No.1 as a priority for the project.

“When we came to this town, we realised that providing them with a mechanical borehole was a necessity. And that is why we chose this town,” he explained added.
On his part, another executive member, Michael Asiedu pledged the Foundation’s commitment to ensure that every Ghanaian has access to potable drinking water.

The commissioning of the borehole has since sparked excitement and joy among residents, who have long awaited a solution to their water crisis.
The borehole is expected to not only improve access to clean drinking water but also reduce waterborne diseases and enhance the overall quality of life in the community.
