“Our security and media personnel and staff of the Electoral Commission of Ghana have voted today. And I sincerely appreciate the overwhelming assurance my team and I received from you,” Mr Mahama wrote.
He, however, noted that some voters faced difficulties as their details could not be traced in the Special Voters List, preventing them from casting their ballots.
Mr Mahama also lamented the postponement of special voting in the Eastern and Western regions to Thursday, December 5, 2024, describing it as an additional burden on voters already grappling with socio-economic challenges.
“Regrettably, Special Voting in Eastern and Western regions remain postponed to Thursday, December 5, 2024, adding more burden to your numerous socio-economic challenges,” he stated.
Despite these setbacks, Mr Mahama encouraged voters to remain optimistic, assuring them of change under his leadership.
"I urge you to be of good cheer because the new era to reset our country beckons. Thank you for opting for change," he concluded.
