One person has been shot dead with four others reported injured after an altercation at Nyankpala in the Tolon constituency of the Northern Region.
The Ghana Police Service has confirmed the arrest of four individuals in connection with a shooting incident at Nyankpala in the Northern Region that resulted in the death of one person and left another injured.
The deceased’s body has been transported to the morgue for preservation and autopsy, while the injured victim is receiving medical care.
The suspects, identified as Majid Issah, Fodi Issiage Kamara, Yakubu Simalia, and Alhaji Bashiru Mohamed, were apprehended this afternoon and are currently in police custody.
Authorities say the individuals are assisting with investigations to uncover the circumstances leading to the tragic event.
The police have reiterated their commitment to ensuring justice and maintaining public safety in the region, urging residents to remain calm as the investigation progresses.
