In their statement, signed by general secretary Andrews Addoquaye Tagoe, GAWU urged the nominees to prioritise key areas, including stakeholder involvement in policy formulation, boosting agriculture’s GDP contribution, and investing in irrigation to promote year-round farming. Specific emphasis was placed on auditing and advancing the Pwalugu Multi-Purpose Dam project to support climate resilience and sustainable development.
