President John Mahama on Thursday, January 30, 2025, swore in the third batch of ministers of state, in accordance with Article 78(1) of the 1992 Constitution.
This follows their approval by Parliament after a thorough vetting process and extensive debates by the Appointments Committee.
The swearing-in ceremony, held at the Jubilee House, marked the official start of their roles in critical government positions.
The newly sworn-in ministers include; Dr Edward Omane Boamah, Minister of Defence, Mohammed Mubarak Muntaka, Minister of Interior, Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Kenneth Gilbert Agyei, Minister for Works, Housing and Water Resources, and Emmanuel Kwadwo Agyekum, Minister of State for Special Initiatives.
The others are; John Kwadwo Gyapong, Minister for Oti Region, Ali Adolf John, Minister for Northern Region, Linda Obenewaa Akweley Ocloo, Minister for Greater Accra, Dr Frank Amoakohene, Minister for Ashanti Region, Rita Akosua Awatey, Minister for Eastern Region, Tia Ibrahim, Minister for North East, Akamugri Atanga Donatuu, Minister for Upper East, and James Gunu, Minister for Volta Region.
