The University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) has congratulated 10 of its distinguished members on their recent national appointments, citing their outstanding leadership, dedication, and commitment to excellence.
In a statement signed by Prof Eliasu Mumuni, National Secretary of UTAG, the association recognised the individual remarkable achievements of its members, who have taken up key roles in various sectors.
"These significant appointments reflect the high calibre of our membership and underscore the invaluable contributions that educators and professionals continue to make toward nation building," the statement read.
The appointed members include Prof. Ransford Edward Van Gyampo, CEO of the Ghana Shippers Authority; Prof. Kwaku Danso-Boafo, Secretary to Cabinet; and Professor Kobby Mensah, CEO of the Ghana Tourism Development Company Ltd.
Others are Professor Theresah Patrine Ennin, Special Aide to the Vice President; Professor Nana Ama Klutse, CEO of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA); and Professor Francis Dodoo, Presidential Advisor on the National Anti-Corruption Programme.
The rest are Professor Ernest Kofi Davis, Director-General of the Ghana Education Service (GES); Dr. Shafic Osman, Executive Secretary of the Public Utility and Regulatory Commission; Mr. Salisu Bi-Awuribe Esq, Regional Minister for the Savannah Region; and Dr Justice Srem-Sai, Deputy Attorney General.
UTAG expressed confidence that these individuals' expertise and visionary leadership will drive progress and excellence in their respective sectors, ultimately benefiting Ghana as a whole.
"Once again, congratulations to all on these well-deserved appointments. We wish you every success in your new roles and look forward to your continued contributions to national development," the statement stated.
