A man believed to be in his 40s has been found dead in a bush at Owuraku, a suburb of Adoagyiri in the Nsawam-Adoagyiri Municipality with severe head injuries.
According to eyewitnesses, the victim's head was nearly severed, indicating a violent and brutal attack.
The lifeless body was discovered near a football field by residents, who quickly alerted community leaders of the Eastern Regional town.
In an interview with Adom News, journalist Kwasi Azor reported that residents were shocked and traumatized by the incident.
The police have been notified and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the mysterious death.
In an interview, Odokwei Damtey, a unit committee member in the area, revealed that the deceased had been identified.
He urged the police to intensify their investigation and apprehend the perpetrators.
