The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has suspended six constituency executives in the Pusiga Constituency over alleged anti-party conduct.
In a letter dated February 20, 2025, and signed by Anthony Namoo, Esq., the Upper East Regional NPP Chairman, directed the executives to step aside and appear before the regional disciplinary committee to address the allegations.
The suspended executives are:
- Awinimi Emmanuel – Constituency Communication Officer
- Belingumse Sawuda – 2nd Vice Chairman
- Haruna Salam – Assistant Secretary
- Kazussah Jacob – Treasurer
- Salifu Ibn Adam – Elections and Research Officer
- Iddrisu Kadiri – Deputy Nasara Coordinator
Awinimi Emmanuel, the suspended Communications Officer, confirmed the development to Citi News, stating that he and the other suspended members had not been informed of the specific offenses they were being accused of.
“When I opened the letter, they said they had suspended me as Communication Officer of the party in the constituency and the Regional Disciplinary Committee will invite me. I said okay. So I took my letter. That is all I can say,” he said.
