Dutch giants AZ Alkmaar have invited the chief executive officer (CEO) of Division Two side Yorktown Football Club, Aruna Abdu, as part of partnership discussions.
Yorktown FC has already secured partnerships with Bosnia and Herzegovina’s top-flight clubs NK Jedinstvo Bihać and FK Željezničar to create development pathways for its players.
Aruna Abdu was invited to the AFAS Stadium, home of AZ Alkmaar, for their Champions League home game against Inter Milan, to strengthen ties between the two clubs.

“I am very confident that this will work out. We have had some talks, and hopefully, my visit brings good news,” Aruna told JoySports.
Although discussions are still in the early stages, key officials from the Dutch club are set to visit Ghana for a one-week trip to Yorktown FC.
“I am happy to disclose that some key officials of AZ [Alkmaar] will be coming to Ghana from April 21st to April 28th to visit our club. It’s part of our efforts to build a strong connection with them.”
Yorktown FC currently sits in fifth place with 29 points, 14 points behind league leaders Police National in the Central Regional Football Association (CRFA) Division Two - Zone Five.
