President John Dramani Mahama arrived in Bamako, the capital of Mali today as part of his ‘good neighbourliness’ tour.
He was warmly received at Modibo Keita Airport by Mali’s Transitional President, General Assimi Goïta.

From the airport, the two leaders proceeded to the presidential palace, where they held a closed-door meeting focused on strengthening diplomatic ties, regional security, and economic cooperation.
The visit marks the first stop of President Mahama’s tour, which will also take him to Niger and Burkina Faso—three countries that have recently exited the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and formed the Alliance of Sahel States (AES).

President Mahama’s engagement with Mali’s leadership highlights Ghana’s commitment to fostering dialogue and maintaining constructive relations with its neighbours.
