Bishop Ambassador Sam Owusu, General Overseer and Founder of Pottersville International Church, has urged young people to venture into politics regardless of their current circumstances in life.
He stated that politics is a major influential platform across the globe, even though other careers may also offer such platforms.
The clergyman indicated this in an interview on Joy Prime’s Changes show with Lois Shola Adeyemi.
“All young men and women, no matter what you’re doing, try to enter into politics because it gives you the platform to influence the world. Even though every job you’re doing gives you a little bit of platform and things like that, the greatest of it all is politics,” he urged.
For those who may be hesitant to pursue politics due to the fear of facing obstacles, he encouraged them to take up leadership roles in other fields to boost their self-esteem and make it a point to influence others.
Growing up, he had political ambitions as he envisioned leadership in his life. However, a woman prophesied over him when he was a child, and her prophecy was later confirmed by a pastor when he went to church.
Until the pastor’s confirmation, he had ignored calls to the service of God, although his reactions at the time showed signs of him being a man of God.
“When the lady said it, I actually didn’t accept it but when I went to the church and the pastor also confirmed that I have a call of God and I have been having that kind of vision of me raising people, taking people from the sea, water and had been hearing voices that I’m a pastor but I’d been ignoring it.”
After that encounter, he embraced his calling and decided to enroll in a Bible school to acquire knowledge and proper training to guide him.
Bishop Owusu has been in ministry for over two decades, and he has been a blessing to many in Ghana and other countries, earning for himself the titles of United Nations Eminent Peace Ambassador and Country Director of the International Association of World Peace Advocates.
