Two suspected looters were arrested during the early morning fire outbreak in the central business district of Adum, Kumasi on Friday, March 21, as they attempted to steal from shops that were gutted by the inferno.
The fire, which broke out in the two-storey buildings housing multiple shops, quickly spread through the area, causing extensive damage.
The fire at the popular Blue Light arena, close to Hello FM, started around 6 am and spread rapidly as fire fighters attempted to contain the blaze.

As firefighters battled the blaze, several individuals took advantage of the chaos, attempting to loot valuable items from the affected stores.
Security officers, including police and fire personnel, were swiftly deployed to the scene to prevent further looting and restore order.
Security officers are vigilant as the area remains a focal point of activity, with efforts to prevent further incidents and maintain public safety ongoing.
