The launch of the new silverware signals the beginning of a refreshed era for Africa’s premier club football competition. The redesigned trophy, part of a broader effort to modernise and elevate the image of the tournament.

Club representatives from both finalist teams — South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns and Egypt’s Pyramids FC were present at the unveiling.
The 2024/25 CAF Champions League final will be contested over two legs, with the first match scheduled for Saturday, 24 May in Pretoria, and the second leg set for Sunday, 1 June in Cairo.
This unveiling comes shortly after the renewal of the sponsorship agreement between CAF and TotalEnergies, which will see the energy company continue as a partner of CAF’s Interclub competitions for an additional four years.
CAF’s introduction of the new trophy forms part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the stature and commercial appeal of African club football on the global stage.
