The Ashanti North Regional Police Command has arrested a suspect, identified only as Seidu, for his alleged involvement in a robbery incident that took place at Offinso Abofour.
The arrest was effected on Saturday, 25th May 2025, during a targeted operation by Police intelligence and tactical teams.
According to preliminary investigations, the robbery led to the theft of a quantity of gold and an unspecified amount of cash.
Seidu is currently in Police custody and is assisting with ongoing investigations. Authorities believe he may be linked to a network responsible for a series of robbery cases reported in different parts of the country.
Meanwhile, the Police say efforts are actively underway to apprehend Seidu’s accomplices and bring them to justice.
The Ashanti North Regional Command has assured the public of its commitment to ensuring safety and security across the region and has urged residents to volunteer any information that may assist in the arrest of the remaining suspects.
The Command further reiterated its resolve to pursue and dismantle criminal syndicates threatening the peace and stability of communities in the area.
