Fuel prices across Ghana have started to fall, bringing much-needed relief to consumers and businesses, according to the Africa Sustainability Energy Centre (ASEC).
This trend aligns with forecasts the Centre made earlier, citing improvements in macroeconomic indicators and currency strength.
In a statement, ASEC attributed the drop to the recent appreciation of the Ghanaian cedi, coupled with improved stability in the international energy market.
These factors, the Centre noted, are creating downward pressure on pump prices across the country.
“We are encouraged by this positive movement, which reflects both market responsiveness and improving fundamentals,” the statement read.
ASEC added that while global conditions remain fluid, the current trend offers a promising outlook.
The Centre pledged to continue monitoring market indicators and updating stakeholders through its official channels.
