Hon. Edmund Agboh, Ga East Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), held a strategic meeting with traditional leaders within the municipality on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, to strengthen collaboration in addressing key developmental issues confronting the area.
The engagement, held at the conference room of the Ga East Municipal Assembly (GEMA), brought together Ga Chiefs from various traditional councils across the municipality.
The MCE used the platform to formally reintroduce himself and to outline his developmental vision aimed at transforming Ga East into a more progressive and inclusive municipality.
In his address, Hon. Agboh emphasized the importance of unity between the Assembly and traditional authorities, stressing that sustainable development hinges on mutual respect and cooperation. He appealed to the chiefs and people of Ga East to play active roles in shaping the future of the municipality through continuous dialogue, community participation, and cultural cohesion.
“Our shared vision for Ga East can only be achieved if we work together, traditional leaders, residents, and the Assembly alike,” the MCE stated. “The developmental challenges we face are surmountable with your wisdom, guidance, and partnership.”
The traditional leaders, in response, commended Hon. Agboh for his inclusive approach to governance and his recognition of the critical role chieftaincy plays in local administration. They pledged their unwavering support to GEMA and assured the MCE of their readiness to contribute toward peace, order, and development within their respective communities.
The meeting, which ended on a note of renewed commitment, marks a significant step in bridging governance structures with traditional authority to drive holistic development in Ga East.
