Black Stars forward Christopher Bonsu Baah has shared words of caution and inspiration following the growing praise from Ghanaians after his performances for the Black Stars.
The 20-year-old made his Ghana debut against Nigeria in the Unity Cup four-nation competition staged in London in May and impressed.
He also thrilled fans in the second encounter against Trinidad and Tobago as the senior national team secured a 4-0 victory.
However, the Genk winger is not getting complacent despite the plaudits from Ghanaians.
“As a young footballer, when you hear your name going all over the place, you just have to keep your head down and just trust the process,” he said in an interview with JoySports.
“You don't just have to think, oh, ‘I've made it now’, you've not. You just have to be patient and keep on doing what you were doing.
“You just have to be serious about your training and do extra and just be hungry for more all the time.”
Baah is hoping to maintain his momentum ahead of Ghana’s next World Cup qualifiers in September.
