Bright W. Ladzekpo has been honoured as Media Leader of the Year for his passionate leadership, in rendering innovative and dynamic skills in the media industry. The Media Agency of the Year Award was also conferred on PHDG, where he has served as Managing Director and CEO for over a decade.
The trophy presentation honours were done by the head of PR and Communications at the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), Mr. Charles Opoku Mensah and Mr. Gideon Raji, CEO of Global Ovations, the organisers of the 4th National FMCG Summit and Awards hosted by the Accra Marriott Hotel, in Ghana.
Reacting to the award conferred on him, Ladzekpo said, “There is still a lot of work to be done by marketing communications practitioners in supporting local and indigenous FMCG brands. It may interest you to know that there are no African FMCG brands listed in the top 10 ranking of the Most Admired Brands category of the 2025 Brand Africa 100 survey report recently published by Geopoll.”

“So, there’s an urgent need for purposeful thinking and propositions for how marketing and advertising industry leaders from Africa could be more deliberate in building local and indigenous brands to become highly visible, purposeful and admired,” he emphasised.
Ghana’s Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector is entering a new phase of opportunity. With inflation easing, relative currency stability, and renewed investor confidence, brands now have room to innovate, scale, and lead with purpose.
With nearly three decades of professional experience in driving transformational growth and market leadership for businesses and brands in West Africa, Bright W. Ladzekpo has worked with FMCG marketing leaders at SABMiller, ABInBev, Diageo, SC Johnson, PZ Cussons, and Unilever to build iconic brands, launch new products and executive innovative media campaigns.

As an industry thought leader who is passionate about tracking technological trends and finding futures through capability building for people, Ladzekpo sees the digital transformation of operational processes to enhance productivity and profitability as the way forward in a fast-paced era driven by Artificial Intelligence.
He has also been recognised for his outstanding leadership, corporate management performance and resilience at the 7th Ghana Industry CEO Awards in November 2024 as the Most Respected CEO in the Advertising Industry.
