Chairman of the Bono Regional edition of the National Prayer Day and Thanksgiving, Apostle Adu Kyeremeh, has said succeeding as a nation without God will be difficult.
According to him, that is why religious believers must come together in prayers and commit the nation's affairs and leaders into the hands of the omnipresent God.
"We must come together with corporate anointing to pray for divine intervention for the great future expected of Ghana," he said, adding that "Without God, it would be very difficult for any nation to succeed".
"One can chase a thousand, but two can chase ten thousand. So, coming together like this, God has the great opportunity to use corporate power and anointing to bless the region and the nation," he stressed.
Apostle Adu Kyeremeh, who is also the founding father of Top Ministries International in Sunyani, was speaking at the maiden National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving, Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at Jubilee Park in Sunyani.
"If we want to see progress, exaltation, elevation, and expansion, we must also come together as a people with our hearts, minds, and bodies. It's not just about prayers. It's about coming together to discover, develop, and maximise the individual potential; then God will rain blessings on the nation," he said.

Apostle Kyeremeh entreated believers to seize every opportunity to join hands in thanksgiving and pray for directions for the country, and not wait for the National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving.
Bono Regional Minister Joseph Addae Akwaboa, in his remarks, urged a reset of the mind towards nation-building, productivity and unity.
"Let us rekindle patriotism and a renewed sense of responsibility at all levels of society", he said, and further prayed for renewed leadership, stronger institutions for national peace, and inclusive and enduring prosperity.
The Prayer and Thanksgiving Service on the theme, "Reflect, Reset, and Renew for National Prosperity", saw various men of God from different Christian religious faiths lead the congregation to pray for the development and upliftment of Ghana.
Special prayers were said for God to intercede in the many chieftaincy conflicts and litigations that continue to thwart the growth of the people and the communities.
In recent times, there have been reported chieftaincy tensions and conflicts in traditional areas, including Sunyani, Sampa, and Berekum, among other areas.
Prayers were also forcefully said against international destruction such as the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war and Israel-Palestine-Iran wars, which impact negatively on decisions, policies, and the smooth running and growth of the country.
Leaders were prayed for to have the anointing and vision to lead the nation into prosperity and out of the circle of poverty and shame.
Families were also prayed for divine understanding to avoid misunderstanding among relatives, with a request to God to resource breadwinners to be able to lead and cater for the family.
The students present at the Thanksgiving service were used as a point of contact to intercede for God's Grace, guidance and blessings for the youth to be purposeful and beneficial to the nation.
Though it was the Christian version of the National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving Service, the Muslim community and the various traditional councils joined in the service to reinforce the religious unity and diversity in the region and the country.
Security services, political party members, government appointees, clergy and their church members, staff of the various state departments, academia, students and the general public actively participated in the maiden prayer and Thanksgiving Service.
At the Bono Regional Central Mosque, the Muslim edition of the prayer and thanksgiving Service was also held.
The national day of prayer and thanksgiving is an initiative of President John Mahama, expected to be held annually on 1st July at the national, regional, and district levels across the country.
