A gory accident at Adanwomaso in the Kwabre East Municipality of the Ashanti Region has claimed three lives, with two others in critical condition.
The head-on collision involved a bullion van on top speed and a Kia truck carrying bags of cement.
Four of the accident victims, including two police officers, were onboard the bullion van. Only the driver survived.

An eyewitness, Efo Mawusi, says the bullion van veered into the lane of the oncoming Kia truck, causing the tragedy.
"The driver of the Van and the Kia driver are seriously injured, and both cars are damaged beyond recognition," he stated.
He observed this is the first time such an accident has occurred on the road stretch from Bonwire to Adanwomaso since it was reconstructed.
