The Black Queens have been invited to play in the inaugural West Africa Football Union championship which begins next month in Nigeria.
The maiden edition of the regional championship begins in Abuja on August 15.
Seven West African countries and one nation from East Africa (Tanzania) will take part in the competition.
The Black Queens will begin their campaign in Group B against Sierra Leone before playing Tanzania and Mali.
Hosts Nigeria are in Group A together with Senegal, Guinea and Gambia.
The two top sides from each Group qualify for the semi-finals.
Ghana failed to go beyond the Group stage at the last African Women's Championship in Equatorial Guinea.
