Dr. Bawumia's action is expected to boost the hopes of Ms. Afriyie and support her in her effort to retain the seat for the NPP.

According to them, as the immediate past flagbearer of the party, Dr. Bawumia deemed it a responsibility to support the activities of the party in every form, including the current elections in Ablekuma North.
