The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ga East, Edmund Agboh, held a stakeholder engagement with the Ga East Circuit Court as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration and explore development opportunities within the municipality.
The meeting, which took place on Saturday, 26th July 2025, formed part of the MCE’s broader strategy to build partnerships with key institutions and stakeholders to drive local development.
During the visit, Mr. Agboh met with officials of the Circuit Court to discuss potential areas of collaboration, focusing on how the Assembly could support the operations of the court and related businesses within the municipality.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Agboh stressed the Assembly’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for institutions and businesses to thrive.
"We believe that effective justice delivery is vital for community growth and investor confidence. As a Municipal Assembly, we are ready to explore ways we can support the court and related institutions through infrastructure development, tax incentives, or workforce development," Mr. Agboh stated.
He further indicated that the Assembly is considering measures to address some of the infrastructural challenges faced by the court, adding, "We know that a conducive working environment is critical. We will work with the appropriate stakeholders to ensure that the court has the needed infrastructure and logistics to function efficiently."
A representative of the Circuit Court, who welcomed the MCE and his team, commended the initiative, describing it as timely and encouraging.
"We appreciate this visit and the willingness of the Assembly to work closely with us. Collaboration like this helps us deliver justice more effectively, which in turn benefits the entire community," the official remarked.
Participants at the meeting included municipal officers, court staff, and representatives from the business community within the Ga East Municipality.
The MCE’s stakeholder engagement forms part of a broader agenda to stimulate local economic development through partnerships that create jobs, enhance infrastructure, and attract investment.
