The National Para Athletics Association successfully staged Zone 2 of the National Talent Identification Program in Koforidua on Saturday, August 16, where para athletes proudly showcased their abilities.
A majority of participants took part in wheelchair racing, led by renowned national para athlete Raphael Botsyo Nkegbe.
Across both events, participants demonstrated remarkable stamina, endurance, and agility, turning the program into a vibrant showcase of para sporting potential. The scouting exercise concluded on a high note with the discovery of several promising athletes who are expected to play key roles in future national competitions.
Building on the successful outings in Kumasi, Cape Coast, and Koforidua, the talent identification drive now heads to Ho in the Volta Region on August 30.
The upcoming program will feature multiple track and field disciplines, including shot put, discus, javelin, wheelchair racing, the 100m, and 800m races.
