The Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Authority (NYA), Osman Ayariga, has called on voters in the Akwatia Constituency of the Eastern Region to rally behind the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate, Mr Bernard Bediako Baidoo, in the upcoming by-election.
He said a victory for the NDC in Akwatia would strengthen President John Dramani Mahama’s drive to reset Ghana.
Addressing supporters during a campaign engagement, Mr Ayariga explained that the NDC’s “Reset Agenda” goes beyond fixing the national economy to tackling local challenges such as youth unemployment, infrastructure development, and access to essential social services.
“President Mahama is resetting the country. We need you, the people of Akwatia, to join this effort by voting for the NDC candidate so that together, we can reset Akwatia as well,” he stated.
He further urged young voters to play an active role in the process, stressing that their participation would be vital in shaping the constituency’s future.
“The youth must take ownership of this election. Your vote will determine whether Akwatia has a future of opportunity and progress,” Mr Ayariga added.
