The Member of Parliament (MP) for Gushegu, Alhassan Sulemana Tampuli, has extended warm wishes to Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, former Vice President of Ghana, as he marks his 62nd birthday on Tuesday, October 7.
In a celebratory message, the legislator described Dr Bawumia as an inspirational figure whose humility and dedication to public service continue to resonate with many Ghanaians.
In his goodwill post, Mr Tampuli paid tribute to Dr Bawumia’s “uncommon humility” and “unwavering commitment to the development of our nation,” emphasising his enduring influence in Ghana’s political landscape.

He further lauded the former Vice President’s “stubborn desire for excellence,” stating that such qualities have been a source of inspiration to him and the people of Gushegu.
Significantly, the Gushegu MP prayed for Dr Bawumia’s success in his ongoing bid to lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP) once again into the 2028 general election.

“My number one prayer is for you to emerge the Flagbearer of our dear party, the NPP,” he wrote, expressing confidence in the leadership qualities of the party’s 2024 presidential candidate.
Mr Tampuli concluded his message by invoking blessings for Dr Bawumia’s health, vitality, and wisdom.
“May Almighty Allah (SWT) continue to bless you with good health, enduring vitality, wisdom and the strength to surmount any challenges as you turn 62 today,” he stated.
