The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has urged party members and Ghanaians to remain resolute in the collective fight against corruption and work towards restoring integrity and accountability in governance.
Speaking during his 'Thank You Tour' to the Hohoe Municipality, Mr Asiedu Nketiah said there are renewed hopes to reactivate regional strategies to ensure that prosecutions related to corruption and theft are effectively revisited. He noted that doing so would help the nation achieve the results it has long pursued.

According to him, meeting this national goal requires discipline, transparency, and unwavering commitment. “Once we reach that threshold,” he said, “we will act decisively, rebuild trust, and restore integrity in every corner of our system. Whatever challenges stand against us today, we must be prepared to face them head-on.”
The Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, who accompanied the Chairman, expressed his gratitude for the visit and encouraged members of the NDC to remain steadfast in their faith in the party.

He described the 2024 election as a form of communal labour requiring the collective effort of every member of the party.
He emphasised the importance of leadership reaching out to thank and reconnect with the grassroots, commending Mr Asiedu Nketiah for “leading by example” through his visit.
The event also featured remarks from the Paramount Chief of the Hohoe Traditional Area, Torgbui Gabusu VII, who appealed for improved social and infrastructural development within the municipality.

He called for an upgrade of the Hohoe water system, the Regional Hospital, and the elevation of the Hohoe Municipality to a Metropolitan status to reflect its rapid growth and importance to the region.
The tour formed part of the NDC National Chairman’s ongoing engagement with party structures across the country, aimed at expressing gratitude to supporters and strengthening unity ahead of the 2024 general elections.
