After crashing out at the one-eighth stage to Keta SHTS in 2024, Kumasi Academy returned to this year’s NSMQ preliminaries with vengeance on their minds and they made the point emphatically inside Auditorium 900 in Cape Coast.
Kumaca seized control from the very first round and never loosened their grip, finishing the contest on a commanding 59 points, powered by a perfect 10/10 in the Problem of the Day, a round that ultimately sealed their supremacy.
Their dominance left St. Louis SHS chasing shadows despite a late push that saw them end on 42 points, while Bunkpurugu SHTS could only manage 17 points after struggling to keep up as intensity built in the auditorium.
The win sends Kumaca to the next stage of the competition in a statement of intent, one that hints they are not just back to participate, but back to finish what they started.
