The Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Ghana has commemorated the 102nd anniversary of the foundation of the Republic with a reception held at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra.
Hosted by the Turkish Ambassador to Ghana, Hüseyin Güngör, and Yeter Güngör, the event brought together government officials, members of the diplomatic corps, business leaders, and representatives of the Turkish community in Ghana to celebrate the milestone.
Ambassador Güngör, in his address, highlighted the strong and growing relations between Türkiye and Ghana, emphasizing cooperation in various areas of growth and economy. He noted that the Republic Day celebration not only marks a historic turning point in Türkiye’s history but also reaffirms the country’s commitment to democracy, peace, and global partnership.

He expressed appreciation to the Government and people of Ghana for their continued friendship and collaboration, underscoring Türkiye’s readiness to further strengthen bilateral ties.
Guests were treated to an evening of Turkish cuisine, music, and cultural displays, reflecting the rich heritage of the Republic founded by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in 1923.
The 102nd Republic Day of Türkiye, observed annually on October 29, commemorates the proclamation of the modern Turkish state and the nation’s enduring journey toward progress and development.
