Anibok Studios, in association with Organised Khaoz Productions, has announced the release of the official trailer for King of Tɛma, a landmark in Ghana’s film industry, the first feature film from Tema, by Tema, and about Tema.
Directed and produced by Kobina de Graft-Johnson, King of Tɛma builds upon Ghana’s proud storytelling heritage, honouring pioneers such as Kwaw Ansah, while introducing a bold new cinematic voice from Tema’s creative heart.
King of Tɛma is a gripping Ghanaian crime drama set in the industrial city of Tema, a story of power, loyalty, and redemption.
The film follows men navigating faith and ambition in a world where every choice comes with a cost. Filmed entirely in Tema, it captures the pulse, pride, and spirit of one of Ghana’s most defining cities.

The film explores loyalty, betrayal, and redemption in a city where ambition collides with faith and survival.
“We’re not rewriting Ghana’s story, we’re extending it,” says Kobina de Graft-Johnson, Director of King of Tɛma.
“Tema has always been a city of builders, now we’re building our stories on screen.”
King of Tɛma stands as the first feature film from Tema, conceived, written, directed, and produced by a native of the city.

This film represents a continuation of Ghana’s creative story, celebrating authenticity, collaboration, and pride in local storytelling.
Media personality Ivy Prosper described the trailer as: “Raw, authentic storytelling from Tema to the world.

The cast and crew include Fred Amugi, Kingsley Yamoah, David “Big Tim” Osabutey, Kweku Elliott, Mynna Otoo, Melvin Dain, and Naya Pratt.
The film unites Ghana’s cinematic legends with its next generation of storytellers.
