Ghanaian gospel artiste and songwriter Danny Addo has released a new Highlife-inspired thanksgiving single titled ‘Hwe Nea Awurade Aye (See What The Lord Has Done)’.
The track, which comes with an official music video on YouTube, captures the essence of Ephesians 3:20 and expresses deep gratitude for God’s abundant blessings.
Recorded live, ‘Hwe Nea Awurade Aye’ blends traditional Highlife rhythms with easy-to-sing melodies, making it both engaging and relatable. The video also celebrates Ghanaian culture, featuring colourful ethnic costumes and vibrant stage energy.
Danny Addo describes the song as “a spontaneous outburst of thanksgiving for answered prayers and a prophetic declaration of faith for miracles yet to come.” The song also features poetic input from Kwadwo Awortey, whose lyrical depth adds to its spiritual resonance.
With more than a decade in ministry, Danny Addo is known for his hit ‘Okum Yen Daa (The Psalm 91 Song)’ and currently serves as the music director for The Mega Church’s Phanerosis Choir.
He says his mission is to lead people into divine encounters through music.
