The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has announced the arrest of 21-year-old Sampson Azumah, the man suspected of stabbing a firefighter at Adjiriganor last Friday.
Azumah is currently in police custody, assisting with ongoing investigations.
According to the GNFS, the suspect is scheduled to be arraigned before the Achimota Circuit Court on Wednesday, November 19, 2025.
He is expected to face charges relating to causing harm to a public officer.
The Service expressed its appreciation to the White Chapel Youth Group at Madina and members of the public whose swift actions and timely information led to Azumah’s arrest.
The GNFS noted that such community cooperation remains vital to ensuring public safety and supporting the pursuit of justice.
