Stanbic Bank Ghana has boosted the Ho Teaching Hospital’s drive to establish a fully functional Medical Tourism Centre with a donation of essential equipment worth GH₵120,000, reaffirming the bank’s commitment to strengthening healthcare delivery in the Volta Region.
The gesture, undertaken as part of the bank’s Community Investment Strategy, is expected to significantly enhance the operational readiness of the centre, which aims to position the Ho Teaching Hospital as a competitive regional hub for advanced specialist medical services.

The donated items include a 4-in-1 workstation, six swivel chairs, two 1.5HP air conditioners, a metal cabinet, two printers, two desktop computers, and a laptop, critical tools that will support the centre’s administrative efficiency and improve service delivery for both local and international clients.
Speaking during the handover, the Head of Communication and Reputation Management at Stanbic Bank, Derick Romeo Adogla, said the bank remains committed to supporting institutions that play key roles in national development, especially in the health sector.

He noted that the donation forms part of Stanbic’s broader goal of strengthening partnerships that help improve health outcomes.
Receiving the equipment on behalf of the hospital, the Director of Administration, Mr. Hanson Torde, expressed profound gratitude, describing the support as timely and critical to the establishment of the centre.
He emphasised that the items would improve workflow, enhance client service, and accelerate the hospital’s ambition to become a recognised destination for medical tourism.

The Ho Teaching Hospital’s Medical Tourism Centre, currently in its setup phase, is expected to expand the facility’s service offerings, attract medical tourists, and contribute to positioning the Volta Region as a centre of excellence in specialised healthcare.
Stanbic Bank’s intervention adds momentum to this vision, while also serving as a call to other institutions to support the hospital’s transformational agenda.
