“I left the place at 5:27 a.m.—it was the best,” said one ecstatic attendee of Joy FM’s 2026 90s Jam, echoing the excitement of hundreds of patrons who turned out at Pleasant Gardens in Dzorwulu on Friday night.

Another fan added: “I have been attending almost every year, but yesterday was really on a different level. Thanks so much for your time and support.”
The annual event, which kicked off at 8:00 p.m., transformed the venue into a vibrant 90s throwback, with music lovers dressed in baggy jeans, crop tops, retro jerseys, and classic sneakers, fully embracing the theme.

MP for Ofoase-Ayirebi, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, who once worked at Joy FM, appeared as a guest DJ for the night, spinning classic R&B, hip hop, highlife, hiplife, pop rap, and dancehall tracks that defined the decade.
Another patron praised the atmosphere, noting, “There is this ‘flexing’ perception about celebs, but at the event, you have proven us wrong. We danced off all our stress and met friends we hadn’t seen after school. Please organise it more often.”

The energy remained high throughout the night as DJs blended old-school favourites into a nonstop party, appealing to long-time fans of 90s music and younger patrons discovering the era for the first time.

By the event’s close, it was clear that Joy FM’s 90s Jam had once again delivered an unforgettable night of music, style, and shared memories.
