JoyNews journalist Razak Musbau has been honoured by the Obuasi Cricket Academy for his dedication and continuous support of the academy’s activities and development.
The award was presented at the academy’s 2025 Dinner and Awards Night, held in Kumasi, to celebrate outstanding players, coaches, partners and patrons who have contributed to the growth of cricket in Obuasi.
Presenting the award, President of the Obuasi Cricket Academy, Rhyda Amanfo Ofori, commended Musbau for his consistent commitment to the academy.
“Razak has been a strong pillar for us. His continuous support and willingness to highlight our work have helped give visibility to our players and promote the growth of cricket in Obuasi,” she said.
Razak Musbau is a young and versatile journalist with the Multimedia Group, where he covers sports and human-interest stories with a strong focus on grassroots development and community sports.
He also hosts several sports programmes across Multimedia platforms, including Prime Sports on JoyNews, Sports Now on Joy Prime, and Sports Arena on Joy FM.
The Obuasi Cricket Academy is a grassroots development institution dedicated to nurturing young cricket talents in the Obuasi Municipality, offering structured training, mentorship and competitive opportunities while promoting discipline, teamwork and leadership through sport.
