Campaign teams of former NPP presidential aspirants Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and Kennedy Ohene Agyapong have reconciled in the Adenta Constituency, signaling renewed unity within the New Patriotic Party following its presidential primaries.
The reconciliation session was hosted by the 2024 NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Adenta, Akosua Asaa Manu, at her campaign office in Adjiringanor on Saturday, February 7, 2026.
The meeting brought together grassroots organisers, polling station executives and campaign volunteers who played active roles in the recent New Patriotic Party flagbearer contest.
The engagement formed part of efforts to close ranks after the internal contest and refocus party members on strengthening structures ahead of the 2028 general elections.
Participants held frank discussions, renewed relationships and reaffirmed their commitment to the party’s broader electoral agenda.
In her address, Kozie noted that “internal contests are part of strengthening democracy within the party, but once a leader is chosen, we must close ranks and work together.”
She added that “the unity of purpose we build today will determine our success tomorrow.”
Participants described the initiative as timely and necessary.
Several activists pledged to work together on outreach programmes, membership expansion and political education to revitalise the party’s grassroots base.
With both sides committing to cooperation, party members expressed optimism that renewed collaboration will strengthen the constituency’s preparedness for future elections.
