Black Stars Head Coach, Otto Addo, expects a demanding contest when the Ghana face Austria in Friday’s international friendly, predicting a fast-paced encounter against a side known for its aggressive style of play.
Speaking ahead of the match, Addo said the Black Stars are preparing for a physically intense challenge against the European outfit.
“I think it will be a very interesting game. Surely we expect an intense game,” Addo said. “As all the Austrian matches are, and everybody knows the coach who likes to press high and a little bit of Red Bull school.”
The Ghana coach noted that Austria’s approach, characterized by high pressing, relentless running and physicality, will provide a strong test for his side.
“So this is what we expect and we know that they are very good, very physical, very high intensity, a lot of runs,” he added.
The friendly is expected to serve as an important preparation fixture for the Black Stars as Addo continues to assess his squad and fine-tune tactics ahead of upcoming competitive assignments.
