Ghana coach Otto Addo remains unfazed by Monday’s test against Germany, despite Friday’s defeat to Austria in Vienna.
The Stars suffered a humiliating 5-1 defeat at the hands of Austria in a pre-World Cup friendly. Friday’s defeat was the first time Ghana had conceded five goals in a match since the 5-0 loss to Saudi Arabia in 2007.
Speaking ahead of Monday’s test in Stuttgart, Otto Addo said the Stars have had time to reflect on their defeat to Austria.
‘‘We have had a lot to analyze since Saturday’s (defeat), which was a big, big blow for us in our preparation. We were actually optimistic to at least have a good game. But after the first half and let’s say two unnecessary goals, we fell apart.’’
On Ghana’s chances against Germany, Otto Addo said his side will handle Monday’s opponents.
‘‘So we had a lot of things to talk through and analyze through, surely even though we will have very strong opponents, we are very, very optimistic that we can handle the situation.’’
