Prominent Ghanaian businessman and football administrator, Kennedy Agyapong—popularly known as Kenpong—has arrived in Germany ahead of the Black Stars’ Monday evening international friendly against Germany.
Kenpong, who is well known for his longstanding support of Ghana football, touched down in Berlin at the weekend and will be in Stuttgart Monday evening when the Black Stars honour the second in the series of international friendlies to warm up for the World Cup.
He is expected to join Ghana Football Association officials and supporters as the national team prepares for the high-profile match.
The Black Stars' first friendly on Friday against Austria ended disastrously, going down 5:1 against their co-World Cup competitors.
Against Germany, Otto Addo is promising better results and Kenpong tells Myjoyonline.com, the Black Stars will gain a lot from the engagement.
Over the years, Kenpong has played a visible role in supporting the Black Stars, both financially and through logistical assistance during major tournaments and friendlies.
His company, Kenpong Travel and Tours, is organising Ghanaian football fans for the World Cup, to be played in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
Fans in Germany and across Europe are anticipated to turn out in large numbers to support the team, with Ghanaian communities already mobilising ahead of kickoff at 6:45 pm.
