The Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, has urged Muslims across the country to remain united and uphold the core principles of Islam as they mark the end of Ramadan.
His call came during a courtesy visit by a delegation from Ahli Sunnah Wal Jamaah, who called on him to extend their goodwill and wish him a successful Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr.

Addressing the delegation, the Minister stated that Islam is inherently a religion of peace, stressing the need for unity, tolerance, and dialogue within the Muslim community and beyond.
He encouraged Muslims to be guided by the teachings of Prophet Mohammed, particularly in resolving differences through constructive engagement rather than division.

Mr Mohammed-Mubarak further assured the delegation of the government’s continued commitment to maintaining peace, security, and stability across the country, noting that these remain critical to national development.
He also extended his best wishes to Muslims nationwide, expressing hope that the values of discipline, sacrifice, and unity observed during Ramadan would continue to guide their actions.

The delegation, on its part, expressed appreciation to the Minister for the warm reception and commended his efforts in addressing national security concerns.
They pledged their continued support towards promoting peace and contributing to national development.
