The Government of Ghana has condemned Friday’s terrorist attack and the deliberate murder of 147 university students in Kenya.
A statement signed by the Minister for Communications, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, conveyed Government’s sympathies and condolences to the victims, students and staff of the Garissa University College and the Government and people of Kenya.
The statement reiterated the view of President John Dramani Mahama, the Chair of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government, that the continent needs to work together to effectively deal with the raging terrorist threats and attacks.
“This is the surest way to end this cross-border threat, which is growing in sophistication, for the citizens of Africa and the world deserve to live in peace as they go about their daily activities,” Dr. Omane Boamah noted.
