Head coach of New Edubiase United Emmanuel Kwesi Afranie believes he has shut a lot of mouths by securing qualification to play in next season’s Premier League.
Afranie suffered lots of criticism due to his inability to keep Sporting Mirren in last season’s Glo Premier League.
New Edubiase qualified ahead of former premiership side Ebusua Dwarfs, Gold Stars and Tarkwa United in Zone 2 of the Division One play-offs.
Afranie was in charge of their campaign in the zonal league but left to join Mirren and had to return after his contract expired at the end of last season.
He feels he has done enough to win back the hearts of Ghanaians who thought he had hit a coaching crunch in his career.
“I feel good. I have been vindicated because people thought that with the relegation of Mirren it was Afranie's problem," the delighted former Under-17 coach told Joy Sports.
“I went to meet them when they had played ten matches in the first round."
"It was not easy to bring them up but I take consolation in developing their game and you can see that people are interested in the players."
