The Office of the Vice President has noted with dismay a number of online publications, with the above headline, claiming that a chieftaincy dispute has recurred in Suhyen, near Koforidua in the Eastern Region, following a visit by the Vice President to the town on Saturday.
The said publications are unfounded and without merit, especially as Mr K.B. Amissah-Arthur did not visit or call on any chief (as claimed by the publications) in Suhyen when he inspected the community’s involvement in the National Sanitation Day exercise, which came off in the Eastern Region last Saturday.
We therefore wish to correct the erroneous publications and urge the general public to disregard same.
