The boyfriend of the alleged kidnapped and raped YFM Presenter is convinced there is a deliberate attempt to incriminate him in the murky incident.

Rahman Nunoo told Joy News' Western Region Correspondent, Kwaku Owusu Preprah that pictures of him wearing a Barcelona FC jersey circulating on social media is part of the grand scheme to make him the prime suspect in the alleged crime.

"I am thinking that this is really something to get my name down the drain," he told the Joy News Correspondent.

Social media platforms, especially Whatsapp became rife with Rahman's photos following news of the abduction of Onyinyechie Ayoka, popularly called Ms Ada.

One of the social media publications that tried to link Rahman to the incident stated thus [unedited]:

"In Adas rape pic, I saw a guy in Barcelona jersey. I saw Rahman Nunoo tagged in the pics. I took time to search for Rahman Nunoo on Facebook and I saw his pic wearing a Barca jersey. The person with the Barca jersey had beads or banners on this wrist. Rahman Nunoo has same beads  and banners on his wrist and even has a pic with Ada.

"My question is who is Rahman Nunoo the guy in the pictures. watch his left wrist and take a close look at the beads."

However, Rahman told Kwaku Owusu Peprah that, "I think the reason why people are really dragging my name into this and then seeing me as a prime suspect is that the person was in a Barcelona [FC] shirt and I am also in a Barcelona shirt with a muffler"

However, he insists  that is not a mere coincidence.

"It is a staged something", he puts it.

Rahman says he is not afraid he may be attacked by the shrouded faces trying to implicate him in the horrid incident, but he fears his reputation may be destroyed by the time the perpetrators are apprehended.

"Reputation is very difficult to build, but easy to destroy", he said.

The latest incident is  Ms Ada's fifth alleged abduction. The preceding four could not be solved, and this one is leaving more questions than answers.

It emerged on Monday that the female presenter at YFm in Takoradi had been allegedly kidnapped and raped by unknown persons.

She is currently recouperating at GHAPOHA Hospital in Takoradi, however police are yet to speak to her.

A team of doctors and psychologists are scheduled to interview the traumatised radio presenter on Wednesday.

Details of the circumstances leading to the abduction of the Presenter of 'Y Lounge'  on Y FM are sketchy, however, the kidnappers allegedly took pictures while raping her and posted them on social media.
