Cholera has been reported in Techiman municipality to have affected 30 persons claiming one life. But for communities and authorities at the Old Kasoa market in Accra, the epidemic is a respecter of persons.
Pools of dark mud have collected at the market where food stuffs sniff the stench of uncollected rubbish.
The market women are refusing to move to a newly constructed market because they believe the location is not strategic, myjoyonline photojournalist David Andoh has learnt.
But make no mistake, the 30,000 cholera infections last year were real infections, real people and real 150 deaths.
All because real rubbish, filth, squalor went ignored by real people.
