Family of lecturer at the Takoradi Polytechnic who was allegedly murdered at Enno suspects his assailants were contracted to execute him.
The mutilated body of Seth Dogbey was found on a railway line at Enno, in Takoradi’s Kojokrom suburb.
Initial reports suggested he was knocked down by a train.
His colleague Gabriel Okronipa who accompanied police investigators to the scene tells Joy News he suspects Seth was murdered in his room.
He said taking a critical look at the study – now identified as the crime scene, police suspect that there was a struggle between the deceased and as yet unidentified assailants.
Mr. Dogbey’s sister, Gladys believes her brother’s neighbours must have heard something from the attack and must be questioned.
She said it was impossible for the neighbours to say they did not hear anything because he would have made some sort of noise when he was attacked.
She expressed confidence in the police saying that she is certain the perpetrators will be apprehended.
Western Regional crime officer, Supt Reuben Asiwoko, who confirmed the death, said the police have launched investigations into the matter.
He also revealed that although the mutilated body of Dogbey was discovered on the railway line, what the police saw at the crime scene revealed that there was a foul play and that the deceased might have been murdered and the body dumped on the line before it was run over by a train.
