The residences of the Krontihene and Akyeamehene both within Kwahu Abeley in the Eastern Region were simultaneously attacked Tuesday dawn.
The attacks were carried out by unknown assailants, Divisional Police Chief of Kwahu James Sarfo confirmed in an interview with Adom FM's Maxwell Kudakor.
The houses of Nana Asiedu Kwabung (V,) the Akyeamehene and Nana Sempe Owiredu, the Kontihene, are not far from each other Mjoyonline.com has learnt.
It is not clear yet who or why the two chiefs have been attacked.
However, Maxwell Kudakor suspects the attacks may be linked to a chieftaincy dispute currently being adjudicated at the Koforidua High Court.
Some youth have filed a suit challenging the legitimacy of the two chiefs and the court is set to rule on the issue tomorrow.
Ahead of the ruling, the residences of the two chiefs were sprayed with faecal matter.
Mad Efua Boatemaa, wife of the Kontihene told Kudakor she was forced to wake up when the foul stench of human faeces started choking her.
She woke up only to find the house sprayed with faeces.
She suspects the attack is a calculated attempt to intimidate them ahead of the court's ruling.
She said this is not the first time they have been attacked. Few weeks ago they had stones thrown into the house and on their roofs by some hoodlums.
No arrests have been made yet.
The police have, however arrived at the scene of the shit-bombing and have begun investigations.
